Product Description

Born in Tlaxacala, Mexico, as with many of the artists of the 1950s generation, Praxides has turned his eyes with a fresh attitude to the heritage of La Escuela Mexicana de Pintura. Praxides’ artwork can be seen as a serious exploration to new possibilities derived from the social, political, and aesthetic propositions inherited from El Taller de la Grafica Popular. He was a member of El Taller from 1974 to 1981. His preference in using paper, even in his acrylics, allude to the emphasis on the printmaking process.
