Carlos Torralba is a talented printmaker from Veracruz, Mexico. His work includes drawings, engravings, etchings, and various other graphic techniques. Carlos received a degree in art from the University of Veracruz, Mexico and his Masters in Visual Arts from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He now resides as the Director of the Printmaking Program at the University of Veracruz. Ojos al Cubo integrates personal emotion and landscapes that he finds in traditional celebrations in Veracruz. Strangers with masks, the focus becomes the eyes that express one and thousands of emotions. Unlike previous works (which tend to be black and white), this piece combines vivid colors and texture to attract the observer.
