“This print for me is inspired by the action of illegal border crossing. As a kid, I always tried to imagine what an illegal alien looked like. My mind would race with images of what these creatures looked like. As an adult, I am now able to translate these creatures into figures in my art.” – Carlos Donjuan

Carlos Donjuan received his BFA from the University of Texas at Arlington, and then received his MFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has exhibited at museums and galleries around the country and has taught at the college level throughout Texas. He is primarily inspired by the graffiti and Mexican Muralist movements.
